JANICE L. DANIELS

      JANICE L. DANIELS, 60, a long-time Lewiston resident, died Tuesday at St. Joseph Regional Medical center at Lewiston of cancer.

      She was born Oct. 12, 1937, to David D. and Iris M. Callentine Plett at San Jose, Calif.

      She moved to Santa Anna, Calif., at a young age.

      After finishing school at Orofino, she worked as a dental assistant for Drs. Lewis and Fairley of Orofino.

      She married Chuck Daniels Jan. 16, 1959, at Orofino. They lived in Orofino and Boise and moved to Lewiston in 1962.

      She worked as a meat cutter for Buttery's Food Store in Lewiston until 1973.

      She then worked for Dr. Michaelis in Lewiston as a receptionist.

      In 1978 she went to work at Omark (now Blount) and retired from there in 1993. She then went to work for the Lewiston School District as a preschool instructional assistant.

      She enjoyed working with her hands. She enjoyed crafts, camping and crocheting. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and especially enjoyed her two dogs.

      She is survived by her husband at Clarkston; a son, Randy Daniels of Colfax; a daughter, Kelli Pearson of Lewiston; her father at Lewiston; a sister, Beverly Blackmer of Clarkston; four stepchildren; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

      Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

      Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home at Lewiston is in charge.
